

Senior Sergeant Chris Hurley arrested Mulrunji Doomadgee for swearing at him at around 10.20 am on the 19th November 2004. Forty minutes later Cameron Doomadgee was dead in the Palm Island police station. He had died from massive internal injuries with his liver almost cleaved in two.
