Injustice on Palm Island

Senior Sergeant Chris Hurley arrested Mulrunji Doomadgee  for swearing at him at around 10.20 am on the 19th November 2004.  Forty minutes later Cameron Doomadgee was dead in the Palm Island police station.   He had died from massive internal injuries with his liver almost cleaved in two.    What happened next - the way that the case was investigated is one of the most blatant miscarriages of justice in recent times.  A range of resources and article can be found below.
