St Thomas More's Social Justice Group first formed in 2004. Their first aim was to inform the group members of the Church's Social Justice Teachings. The second aim was to rais awareness of the Church's Social Justice Teachings throughout the faith community and their third aim was to take some action.
The group has been involved in a range of issues including the environment, justice and reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander peoples, the death penalty and fair trade. This month they have made history by being the first parish to be partially solar powered!
