Often described as the Church's 'best kept secret' Catholic Social Teaching is a rich resource for Christians
actively living a life of integrity and faith.  The opening lines of The Church in the Modern World
(Gaudium et Spes) of the Second Vatican Council express how we are called to live our lives.

The joys and hopes, the sorrows and anxieties of the women and men of this age, especially those who are
poor or in any way oppressed, these are the joys and hopes, the sorrows and anxieties of the followers of Christ.
